Building Control Amended Regulations 2014.

In 2014, a significant amendment was made to building control regulations which alters the method by which commencement of development occurs. Previously, a simple notice was submitted for works  beginning  on a development upon grant of planning permission. The new system requires the online submission of construction details, sustaibability (BER), and scehdules. As a Chartered Building Survyor, we can take you project from concept to completion.


Prior to the submission of the commencement notice to the relevant buiding authority, deatils need to be examined and presented both to the client and the BCA. The Building Control Amended Regulations 2014, now has a major focus on the sustainabily of the building and its conversation of heat. Therefore, airtightness, ventilation and insualtion are key focus point to be examined at the inital concept of any projects. As part of our service, we works with large scale developers, small builders and self build projects, where we prepare detailed plans, construction details, reports and documents to assit with the project. We carry out a number of site visits during the works are prepare all necessary certification required under The Building Control Amended Regulations 2014.
